Out it in the Bay for the Holiday and to cover the Chiefs-Raiders game, so I’m sans my NBA League Pass. After reading and watching up, however, I’m pretty stoked.
Diaper Drew and Trevor Ariza obviously played lights out, but it was the Black Mamba who impressed me the most. We don’t want Kobe Bryant to have to be MVP every night with this team, but on some nights we will need KB24 to be just that. Last night he was. Still, the play that impressed me most was when he dove to the floor and beat two Mavs to a [...]

Missed the game because I was getting a 6-hour tat. Hurt like a bitch, but it was worth it. The big thing that stood out to me was Lamar Odom’s +29 plus-minus. That’s bringing it. Anyway, looks like this was the game to miss. 12-1, baby!

Kobe Bryant has a little fun with D.J. Mbenga, from Elie over at FanHouse…
Kings @ Lakers Bullets:
Vlad Radmanovic’s Ali G-style homage to Kurt Rambis and the Captain worked, as he nailed four threes.
Trevor Ariza. Our resident stat stuffer has a chance to become an All-Star someday. He’s only 23, and if he keeps working on his stroke and ballhandling — wow. Everything else is there, especially the athletic ability and desire. 11-11 with 6 assists and 3 steals. Another great game. And the home crowd loves this kid, as it should.
Kobe Bryant was awesome. Passing. Offensive boards. Highlight reel jams. +21 plus-minus ranking. He played under 34 minutes, too. The greatest thing about [...]
Loverboy, Leo And The Leprechaun
Either this is a new episode of Entourage where E begs Leo to drop a role so Vince can take it, but Leo only has time to do it while he’s mentoring Leo-in-training Zac Efron at a Lakers game, or…it’s just weird. I actually like Leo a ton as an actor (and he’s a true fan!), but, seriously, what is he doing at the game with Mr. High School Musical 6000 and HBO’s lucky leprechaun? Is Kevin Connolly a makeshift Tobey Maguire? Is Leo now taking pretty boy apprentices? Odd.

Lakers Fan Lara Dutta
Move over Brangelina and Tomkat. Why? Because Bollywood supercouple — not to mention Laker fans! — Lara Dutta and Dino Morea are invading Staples this Sunday. In all actuality, the Bollywood couple is pretty much the biggest celeb couple in the world (well, other than the Obamas now), because India is a country of about 2 billion peeps. They are the Mr. and Miss Yao Ming of NBA fans. I’ve just pictured Lara, well, because she’s hot (2000 Miss Universe) and who gives a shit about Dino. Sorry, lady Lake Show fans. If you want to check out Dino, go [...]
Purple Post-Game: Stink Nuggets
Tonight I got home and it was about halfway into the third and the Lakers were up by 20. I decided to keep watching instead of starting from the beginning on my DVR. I mean, I didn’t even see Carmelo in the last freakin’ 18 or so minutes — what was the point? The Nuggets aren’t any better with Chauncey Billups if you ask me. Watching the end, the highlights, looking over the box score and listening to the post-game show with Billy, Joel, Norm and Stu, here are my thoughts…
Phil Jackson was right about Kobe Bryant coming out and [...]
