First Half Fodder: Lakers Vs. Clips
Talk about coasting through a half. Other than Bynum pounding the glass, Ariza pounding the rim and Kobe pounding the defense with a few vintage plays, it was a pretty lackadaisical effort from the Purple and Gold. Those last three or so minutes were especially pathetic. At least we found out the Baron Davis is on Jenny Craig. That was something. Oh, and I saw Jonah Hill in the crowd doodling (NSFW). Still, I expect the Lakers to come out with renewed intensity to start the second half. 36 percent shooting from the field isn’t going to cut it, and neither is letting Al Thornton, Beard Diddy and Timmy Thomas score at will.
Meanwhile, it just took Rick Fox six tries to say Trevor Ariza’s name. Nobody is having a good night tonight so far. Well, except Ariza. More later…
