Laker Links: Sunday Whites!

I’m not a huge stat cruncher, nor am I someone who frequently dissects basketball strategy. That being said, I very much enjoy the works of those who do crunch numbers and dissect the Xs and Os, especially when it comes to our Purple and Gold. Here are two stat/strat links definitely worth checking out:
- How the Lakers are using an aggressive SOS-style defense to limit dribble penetration and force turnovers. With the emergence of long, athletic youngs like Diaper Drew and Trevor Ariza, I think this is a savvy adjustment. And I love any defense that allows Kobe to roam and get out in the passing lanes. – Basketball Prospectus
- A great look at whether the strong side zone can put the Lakers back in the championship banner business. Love the insight on how this new D could help cover for Fish and Vlad. I certainly hope so. One of the best Lakers sites out there, if you ask me. – Forum Blue and Gold
