NBA TV Can’t Handle The Glove?
NBA TV studio analyst Gary Payton just said “in ya mouth” following the highlight of Kobe Bryant busting that long fourth-quarter three right in a Chicago defender’s face. I know G.P. is both the king of trash talk and always reppin’ Oakland, but can you really say that on NBA TV? I’m not one for censorship (understatement of the year), but I’m just sayin’. While G.P. might be channeling Too Short, NBA execs could deem his brand of commentary too racy.
I mean, it’s pretty obvious what “in ya mouth” is insinuating. Back in the day, we used to say things like “bust,” “deepthroat,” “in your eye” and “nut” when we launched threes over outstretched defenders. That being said, Payton was basically saying that Kobe launched the money shot down the defender’s throat. Maybe nobody else caught it?
