So, it looks like Smokin’ Joe Carnahan is reviving the A-Team remake. My big question is whether it will be more like Narc, which I liked, or Smokin’ Aces, which effing blew. I’m worried about The A-Team remake calling for an ensemble cast, like Aces. Really, it just depends on the script and…
UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson playing B.A. Baracus!
The modern-day Mr. T has been linked to this role, and he might be the only one who could pull it off. He’d be a helluva lot better than Tyrese freakin’ Gibson. I seriously don’t know who else could play this guy. Ving Rhames is getting a little too long in the tooth. Michael Clarke Duncan? C’mon, that’s not gonna work. I really can’t think of anybody else. The B.A. rumors out there besides the Rampage one smell more like B.S. to me.
They could even change Mr. T’s patented gold chains to Rampage’s patented chain. I bet he’d would even rock a Mohawk. Mr. T was a fighter and Rampage is a fighter — it’s perfect. And you know Rampage would do all of his own stunts. Plus, he’s funny and you actually believe it when he whoops some ass. What more could you want for the role of B.A. Baracus?
Seriously, Smokin’ Joe, if you don’t get Rampage in this flick, then I’ll really start to wonder what you are smokin’. Rampage is the only possible heir to Mr. T when it comes to The A-Team. Period. I grew up watching that show — don’t screw it up (i.e. Miami Vice)!
