This was my other favorite play of the afternoon. Gotta love Trevor Ariza taking a stolen pass coast to coast and cramming one down highlight-reel style, making Carlos Boozer look foolish in the process. The kid is growing up before our very eyes.

Before today, Paul Wall was a rapper. Not any more. Now, Paul “Wall” Milsap will be featured on your poster catching a facial from Kobe Bryant. Watch out for the Black Mamba, big fella. Watch out.

After shooting 66% in the first half, the Lakers have built a 22-point lead over the Jazz. Kobe Bryant, with a late scoring push, and Trevor Ariza led the Lake Show with 12 points. Kobe also had five dishes, playing some beautifully unselfish basketball. Of course, as we all know, he can turn it up when he needs to, and did to close out the half with some Jordanesque scoring. This weekend, a series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz will kick off. Not too long ago, it was Utah matched up against Los Angeles in another battle — California Proposition 8. Prop 8, passed in last year’s general election, restricted marriage to heterosexual couples and eliminated homosexual couples’ right to marry. All I’ve got to say is…I love me some Shannon Brown. Let the playoffs commence! Hopefully, this 125-112 beatdown of the Jazz let them know that they have no chance in hell at winning a couple of games, let alone the series. Get out the brooms? Go Lakers!
