Kobe, Not LeBron, King Of Jersey Sales

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are the kings of NBA merchandise. Even the biggest Laker haters and LeBron-over-Kobe debaters have to admit that now. Why? The NBA just released its jersey and team merchandise sale rankings. Here are the results (hat tip: Slam):

My New Kobe Bryant Jersey

5. Allen Iverson, Detroit Pistons
6. Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
7. Paul Pierce, Boston Celtics
8. Nate Robinson, New York Knicks
9. Pau Gasol, L.A. Lakers
10. Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
11. Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls
12. Ray Allen, Boston Celtics
13. Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns
14. Shaquille O’Neal, Phoenix Suns

3. New York Knicks
4. Cleveland Cavaliers
5. Chicago Bulls
6. New Orleans Hornets

Now, if LeBron James ever heads to the Knicks, then Kobe will have a serious fight on his hands. There’s no way Nate Robinson is the eighth most popular player in the league.

By the way, I just ordered an authentic Kobe Bryant jersey (pictured above) from Jersey 101, a Hong-Kong-based site. $40 including International delivery, great product, new with Adidas/NBA tags and patyches, only took two weeks to get here. I highly recommend it. Even got The Finals patch on it. Just trying to look out for my fellow Lake Show fans!

They just like to sport Nate’s Jersey. Its a odd thing really. If it also had that much to do with market, then why don’t the Knicks players every get tons of allstar votes, that’s free as opposed to spending 40-50 bux on a jersey.

“Kobe, Not LeBron, King Of Jersey Sales”. LeBron, not Kobe, the third youngest player to ever get MVP. But you’re right, jersey sales are totally what’s important, and its absolutely SHOCKING that a team in a city of 10+ million with a good team would sell the most merchandise!
