It’s pretty obvious the Lakers are the best the team in the west. The guys have the most talent, the deepest roster, and the most experience. They should be winning, shouldn’t they? Contrary to the popular opinion, I don’t believe they lack the “killer instinct” that everyone talks about. This is a team that has Kobe Bryant. 48 hours ago Derek Fisher set the tone with his toughness. Tonight, his replacement, Jordan Farmar, made one. I say it shouldn’t be a flagrant foul. Kobe Bryant says the same. Maybe a flagrant 1 foul, but not a 2. I’m an 80s kid, too, so I say let ‘em play. Don’t wanna give the Houston Rockets any excuses. You decide, Lakers fans; was Ron Artest’s foul on Pau Gasol a flagrant 2 foul?

Just when I tweeted that my boy the Black Mamba was playing like a garden snake, he comes back and hits one of his best shots ever. Kobe Bryant, you are the master. If you are Ron Artest, Shane Battier and the Rockets, what do you do? There is simply no way to stop this guy.

NBA Basketball Operations Vice President Stu Jackson announced today that Derek Fisher would serve a one-game suspension for lowering his shoulder while committing a hard foul against Houston Rockets forward Luis Scola. Jackson also announced Kobe Bryant had been assessed a flagrant 1 foul for the elbow to Ron Artest’s neck that sparked the heated exchange of words and ultimately Artest’s ejection. Source: NBA.com
