Lamar Odom and Lakers Reach an Agreement

J.A. Adande and Mark Stein are reporting that the Lakers and Lamar Odom have agreed to terms on a new deal.

Odom will sign a four-year contract, with the fourth year at the team option, the source said. One source with knowledge of the talks told the four-year deal is worth $33 million if the Lakers exercise the final year of the contract.

Thus, the worst the worst negotiating I’ve seen since the guy that Chris Sabian replaced has come to an end.

Odom turned down a return to South Beach for less money to play with childhood friend Ron Artest.

Now that all members of the Fearsome Foursome are in place, the countdown to LeBron stomping off the court without shaking the hand of Kobe Bryant in 2010 can begin.

Good news! What was he thinking toying with the idea of going with the Heat! Odom, you made a wise choice my friend! Its the players with championships and glory that are remembered, not the highest paid. If Odom plays a big part and plays consistently, he could end up in the book of Lakers history!
