Spain Loses to Serbia, Pau Gasol Disappoints

Pau Gasol’s injury was under control enough to allow him to play a major role in Spain’s shocking loss to Serbia.  While pulling down 7 rebounds, Gasol managed to miss his first 7 free throws.

Gasol shot 4/9 from the field in 25 minutes of play and actually missed 8 free throws in a row if you count a missed free throw that he was able to retry after a lane violation.

For those of you counting, Laker players in the Eurobasket tournament are not exactly showing why their NBA team won the World Championship.  I suppose we should be happy we got the performance in June instead of Spain / Slovenia getting the best of their Laker players over the summer.
