Playoff Preview: Lakers vs. Suns… Size Matters
Coach Nick details the keys to the Suns offense, and what the Lakers had better watch out for if they want to win this series.
2010 NBA Playoffs – Kobe kills Jerry Sloan’s Career
The Jazz just got swept, and you’ll see why it might be time for Jerry Sloan to hang it up. The Jazz never adjusted their defense to try and stop the Lakers, and when they did try to double team the post, they were completely ineffective and disorganized. Either the Jazz aren’t listening to their coach, or he’s not adjusting. Either way, it all adds up to a series sweep.
NBA.com Question Of The Week: Your Chance To Win Prizes
Lake Show Life and Fansided.com have partnered with NBA.com for the NBA postseason. They will be hosting a weekly contest with a chance to win prizes. Week 2 Contest There is only one series still going right now: Boston and Cleveland. Therefore, the question this week is about that: So far in this series LeBron James and Rajan Rondo have stepped up as leaders of their respective teams. When ranked by their Points/Rebounds/Assists averages for the playoffs, they rank at 1 and 8 respectively. You can read about this in more detail here. Guess the line for both James and [...]
In what has become an annual tradition, the Los Angeles Lakers eliminated the Utah Jazz from the NBA Playoffs…again…for the third consecutive year. This time around the Lake Show busted out the brooms and swept the Jazz as Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol continued their spring cleaning. Just when everybody was quick to author the “end of days” for Kobe, the best baller on the planet goes out and reminds the world why his place in NBA history is written in ink and not pencil. After a sub par showing against Oklahoma City, the real MVP did what he does [...]
Utah’s Salt Lake Tribune has an article with a title that fully encapsulates the current situation that the Jazz find themselves in. Down 3-0 to the team that has knocked them out of the playoffs in what seems like every season for the last decade, can you really blame them for such a downtrodden attitude? In numerous conversations across the basketball world over the past day, the topic of the Western Conference Finals has been discussed at length. The wording differs, but most conversations include something like this: Looking ahead at the Western Conference Finals, the Suns will play the [...]
Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol Named to All-NBA Teams
NBA.com announced today that Kobe Bryant is a member of the All-NBA first team this season and Pau Gasol is a member of the third team. Dwight Howard and Lebron James tied for the highest number of votes with 610 each. Bryant recieved 604 votes for the third highest total with Kevin Durant in fourth with 579. Dwyane Wade rounds out the first team with 520 votes. Pau Gasol joins the third team at the foward position, making the Lakers one of only two teams having more than one player named to the three all-NBA teams. The Phoenix Suns were [...]
How many times can the Lakers go to Kobe down low? As long as Kirilenko is wearing pants, I guess. Utah’s chief weapon Carlos Boozer has been rendered ineffective against the Laker big men – resorting to long outside jumpers and fade aways to score.

See how the Lakers out executed the Jazz in the opener of what will be a tightly contested series. Derron Williams and Carlos Boozer couldn’t take the pressure of the playoffs and faltered down the stretch. Will that change? Highly doubtful the Jazz will figure it out in time to win the series.
Kobe Bryant Makes Poor Decisions
Kobe Bryant makes some really regretful decisions. Just look at the picture. That should be proof enough. That would be #24, Mr. Kobe Bryant. In makeup. And a bow-tie. And a pimp-hat. Over a headband. Lest we forget- all of it in pure white. This was done for a cover story for LA Times Magazine. The story was called “White Hot” (get it?) and recently came out. Ironically, it seems like more effort was put into the photo shoot and white outfits than was put into the actual interview. Kobe answered hard-hitting questions like “So what do you do when [...]
