Steve Blake Out with Chicken Pox

Already one of the worst performing units during this wretched 5-game slide, the Lakers’ bench just got thinner. Steve Blake is out indefinitely having contracted chicken pox.

No joke!

A grown man with chicken pox and his wife insists it didn’t come from one of their three kids. No word on whether or not the school bully took Blake’s lunch money today.

And the news could go from bad to worse as Matt Barnes is a game-time decision for tonight’s tilt with San Antonio. Barnes is still experiencing some soreness in his surgically repaired knee.

The drama just won’t stop.

The Lake Show is currently locked in at the three seed sitting one half game behind Dallas and a half game up on OKC. With so much riding on these final two regular season contests it’s a bad time for Blake to come down with the pox and Barnes to be struggling with lingering injuries.
