Lakers’ Rookie Andrew Goudelock Getting By Despite Lockout

Life as an NBA rookie is never easy. Being a rookie during a lockout is even more difficult. Many of the men awaiting their first NBA check had taken calculated risks in declaring for the draft. Consider Lakers’ draftee Andrew Goudelock among the more prepared rookies for the NBA’s nuclear winter.

According to Goudelock’s agent his client is currently considering overseas options after passing on several offers earlier this year. So, just how is Goudelock getting by without an NBA check?

Once again his agent is really earning his cut. Goudelock is currently working on finishing his degree from College of Charleston while earning a living thanks to an endorsement deal with a Chinese shoe company. Just how that company is getting return on their investment while the sharp shooting combo guard is unemployed is beyond me. But I guess that’s just the nature of business these days.

Depending on what happens with the lockout Goudelock is likely to take his talents overseas as will many NBAers looking for work.
