Kobe Bryant Has Divorce To Deal With During Season

Damn, homie…I mean damn.

When it rains it muthafu*kin’ pours. Yet the rain falls on the just and unjust the same.

I guess I’m just trying to gather my thoughts after seeing TMZ’s report of Vanessa Bryant filing for divorce from her husband of 10-years, Kobe Bryant.

Far be it for me to even speculate on what went wrong. We all know about that night in Colorado that was no doubt a game changer in the relationship. We also know the couple weathered the storm to see their family name again restored.

So to learn of Vanessa’s filing for divorce, mere days before Christmas, is straight shocking.

According to TMZ KB24 hasn’t been the most faithful husband. True or untrue it is really none of our business. Truth be told the only reason I even care is because of how it might affect this already tumultuous season for the Lakers. Naturally my heart goes out to the children involved as they are innocent in the matter. The rest is between two adults.

In a short period of time Kobe has seen his team lose out to the Clippers in the Chris Paul sweepstakes, he’s lost his best running mate off the bench in Lamar Odom and now’s he losing his wife piece.

Damn.

TMZ claims Bryant was seen moping around at the Jay-Z show the other day. I’m sure dude is in a funk.

But if history repeats itself then we should see a revitalized Bryant out to prove something. Remember how hard he went during his court case? So while this is bad news for Kobe’s not-so-private life as a husband and father it could be a great thing for his professional life as a hoops assassin.
