Dwight Howard Ranked Third Overall By ESPN

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

There was no doubt that the Lakers added a top 5 talent to their team when Dwight Howard was shipped to Los Angeles. Most would agree with that. However according to a panel of ESPN writers Howard’s standing in the NBA hierarchy has elevated him into the league’s top 3.

DH checks in at the #3 spot in ESPN’s player rankings, a full three spots ahead of Kobe Bryant. Overall the Lakers boast of 4 of the league’s top 20 players when you include Pau Gasol and Steve Nash.

Believe it or not Howard has actually dropped in the ESPN rankings as he was rated #2 overall one year ago. Funny what a bad back, horrible decision making and an indecisive nature can do. After all it’s not like Howard had a bad season last year that would cause him to fall one spot.
