Steve Nash In Doubt For Matchup With Clippers

Not that it comes as any real surprise but the Lakers are listing Steve Nash as doubtful for Friday’s game against the Clippers. After seeing Nash labor and limp mere seconds after colliding with Damian Lillard just about all of us assumed the worst.

At worst it looked like Nash sustained a knee injury. Turns out he’s got a shin contusion that made him miss most all of the second half in Portland last night and practice today.

So far the Nash factor has yet to appear. Blame the adjustment to the Princeton offense. Blame the coaching staff. Make whatever excuse you want. The reality is Nash is nearing 40 and at this point in an athletic career the glory fades quickly.

Have the Lakers nabbed Nash in his Favreian swoon or will he bounce back and rediscover his form?

We’ll just have to wait until Nash is healthy and the offense is finally settled. If and when that will happen is anyone’s guess.
