Mike D’Antoni Delays Debut

Good thing the Lakers passed on Phil Jackson and his health issues for Mike D’Antoni. It’s not like D’Antoni is recovering from knee surgery or anything.

Oh…wait…he is.

As if Jim Buss’ decision to hire D’Antoni didn’t make any sense to begin with no comes word that the Lakers new head coach in waiting has delayed his debut which was thought to occur tonight against the Houston Rockets.

According to reports D’Antoni wants to wait until he’s fully recovered whenever that’s supposed to be. So for now it’s still Bernie Bickerstaff’s job which isn’t a bad thing considering how well the team has responded to him.
