Whenever Kobe Bryant hangs up his sneakers and walks away from the game he’ll be breaking a long running holiday tradition. Over the course of his storied career Bryant has put his name on many an NBA record. One of the many that he holds is the most appearances on Christmas Day.

Tomorrow KB24 will drip sweat on an NBA floor while the rest of the nation opens its presents for the 15th time.

Think about that for a second. For almost half of his life Bryant has been doing work on Christmas day. When the Knicks come to Staples tomorrow it will mark yet another marquee NBA matchup for the Lake Show who are also a Christmas mainstay. This meeting also marks the squaring off the two franchises with the most Christmas wins in NBA history. The Knicks have won 22 times on the morning after Santa’s ride while the Lakers boast of 20 victories.
