Tonight the NBA will announce the official results of the vote for the 2013 All-Star game to be played in Houston. Despite the Lakers’ lethargic first half of the season both Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard are virtual locks to be participating in the NBA’s talent showcase as starters.

As of two weeks ago Bryant was the leading voter getter among all players. Dwight Howard ranked second in the Western Conference behind Kevin Durant in the new category of Frontcourt.

Beyond that there isn’t much hope for any other Laker getting selected to the team. Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and Metta World Peace are the only other Lakers that appear in the top 15 of their respective categories. However only Gasol appeared in the top 5 and his disappointing season isn’t likely to earn him a nod as a reserve.
