Dwight Howard Out For Game In Minnesota

Gary Vitti evaluated Dwight Howard’s re-re-injured shoulder on Thursday and on Friday ESPN is reporting that Howard will sit out tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Officially Howard is listed as day-to-day as his status will no doubt become a growing topic of conversation. Already Kobe Bryant and Howard alike have stated that this is just going to be something the All-Star center will have to play through during the season.

Surgery on the shoulder would end this disappointing season for Howard who saw his season cut short last year due to back surgery. Lamar Odom previously played through a similar injury as a Laker and Bryant has done the same so there is precedent for the situation. However given how easily Howard reinjured his shoulder there is cause for more concern as it relates to his health relative to the aforementioned instances.
