Fans to get Opportunity to Attend Jimmy Kimmel Interview of Kobe Bryant

Jimmy Kimmel will host an exclusive interview of Kobe Bryant on August 15th at the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angelels. Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the event, being dubbed Kobe Up Close; tickets range from $25 to $200. Those that donate in addition to the ticket purchase will be entered into a drawing to get a seat upgrade. The proceeds of the event will go towards the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Sports Spectacular.

The exclusive interview is being touted by the promoters as an opportunity for fans to see a different side of Kobe:

“Kobe to talk about his past, present and future. Unlike postgame interviews and press conferences, fans will get the chance to see another side of Kobe as he answers questions and recounts some of his favorite stories”

Kobe isn’t one that has shied away from speaking with the media or conducting interviews. Kobe has also been quite revealing on the social media front, posting frequently on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts; therefore, it will be interesting to see how Kobe will be able to open up even more than he already has at this event. Considering that this is an event that fans will be shelling out money for and that the proceeds will be going to charity, I can expect an even more candid Kobe in order to give the paying audience bang for their buck. I will be one of those attending the event and expecting some jaw dropping moments.
