Mitch Kupchak met with Dwight Howard before Houston meeting

Mitch Kupchak has stated from the get-go that they’d push hard to keep Howard in purple and gold for next season. He wasn’t joking either. Even though the Lakers aren’t scheduled to meet with Howard until Tuesday, Kupchak found time to meet with the big man late Sunday.

That’s right, Mitch snuck in before Dwight met with Houston for a quick word. The Lakers will get the first and last word with the All-Star.
