LAKERS NEWS

Kenny Boyton Jr. accepted an invitation to play for the Lakers summer league team, as reported in the Miami Herald yesterday.

Kobe Bryant’s message to Dwight Howard in the meeting yesterday was simple: Let me teach you how to be a champion. Bryant’s straight forward, full disclosure was exactly what you’d expect from the Black Mamba.

Chris Broussard tweeted that the Lakers have interest in Kenyon Martin, among other teams. Martin played in just 18 games for the Knicks last season, but was still a productive in those minutes.

Marc Stein says that the Warriors made a real impression on Howard, even though they could only acquire the big man via sign and trade.
