The aftermath of Dwight Howard’s decision is still shaking up the NBA and the Lakers. First, Kobe Bryant took a slight jab at Howard, then Jodie Meeks (or someone posing as him) took a far more direct shot. Now, Phil Jackson joined the crowd, tweeting this and this. The zen master wishing Howard luck as an “Astro” is about as awesome as an insult as there can be.
A couple of articles dove into what went wrong for the Lakers and Dwight Howard this season. First, Yahoo Sports writer Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bomb when his article revealed the details of the players only meeting held in Memphis mid-season, specifically the battle between Howard and Bryant. Then, Ramona Shelburne’s article took a wider look at the season and why the “marriage” between the Lakers and Dwight wasn’t going to work.
