Metta World Peace was recently amnestied by the Los Angeles Lakers. Teams had a 48-hour window to make a claim on the enigmatic forward. However, according to Yahoo Sports, no team put a claim on him, making him an unrestricted free agent.

With this news, it seems likely that MWP goes to the Knicks. There has been a mutual interest to the two and MWP is from the New York area. However, Metta has also expressed interest in both the Clippers and overseas in China, so there are many possibilities for the 33-year old.

Metta had a bit of a comeback season last year in Mike D’Antoni’s offense, averaging 12.4 points and 5.0 rebounds a game last year, his highest figures as a Laker.
