According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in the former Memphis Grizzlie and Detroit Piston, Austin Daye.

The Lakers are staying on their youth movement with their reported interest in Daye. The 25-year-old, 6’11 forward would be a nice pickup in Mike D’Antoni’s system, as a stretch four. Last season, Daye shot 41.8 percent from downtown, but only 43.3 percent from the field. The Lakers would only sign Daye for the minimum, and most likely for only this upcoming season. It appears to be a low-risk, moderately high-risk reward scenario for the Lakers.

6’11”, young, and can shoot. Low risk, high reward. Dude still has potential.

One thing I like about Daye is his ability to bother three point shooters. He uses his length well on the perimeter.
