Want to spend the day with Kobe Bryant?

Kobe Bryant has turned into a fan’s man since joining Twitter last season. Since then, he’s made himself far more accessible to the average Joe. Now, here’s offering a chance to spend the day with him prior to his “Kobe Up Close” Event on August 15.

Bryant announced on Wednesday via Facebook and Twitter that he and his foundation, Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, were hosting a contest offering fans the opportunity to meet with Bryant in a one-on-one setting prior to his special with Jimmy Kimmel in Los Angeles on August 15. Bryant also posted a video on YouTube describing the contest.

Fans who would like to donate can visit the site linked above and donate accordingly there. The minimum donation of $3 gives you one entry in the contest, with each sequential value – $10, $25, $50, $100, or more – offer you more chances to win the contest, as well as special prizes ranging from video messages to t-shirts or even a limited edition Kobe Bryant bobblehead.

The grand prize includes flight and hotel to Los Angeles for the winner. Also, the winner receives front row tickets to the event, passes to the VIP reception prior to the show, and a chance to hang out with Bryant prior to the show. In typical Black Mamba fashion, the winner will also have an opportunity to play a game with Bryant, which he won’t disclose in order to have the upper hand.

Kobe and his wife Vanessa’s foundation was started to help eliminate homelessness. Bryant has made many public appearances about the foundation and is heavily involved with the foundation. Hopefully a chance to meet with Bryant creates more awareness for the foundation and it’s cause.
