World Poker Tour to Host Tournament in Honor of Dr. Buss

February 18, 2013 is going to be a date many Lakers fans won’t forget; this is the date Dr. Jerry Buss passed away. For as much as Dr. Buss loved basketball, he was also an avid poker fan. This is why, on August 24, at 4 PM, the World Poker Tour is going to host a tournament in Dr. Buss’ honor.

The tournament is going to be held by Buss’ old friend, Frank Mariani. The buy-in for the tournament is going to be $365, and 25% of the prize pool is going to be donated to Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation. The players who make the final table will recieve a “limited framed Jerry Buss/Frank Mariani chip set.”

The winner of the tournament will win $20,000.
