Off the court, a roller coaster of a summer for Lamar Odom has only continued into the fall as he and Khloe have had all sorts of allegations swirling around him. On top of that, Odom’s most recent tweet in late September was directed toward his father, who Odom doesn’t think too highly of.

On the court, Odom’s career may be permanently derailed. While the Lakers and Clippers reportedly expressed interest all summer, neither team entered any sort of serious negotiations with Odom, turned away by his apparent drug problems. The Lakers, however, did recently reach out to Odom, but not to join their roster.

Odom could use all the support he could get right now. Always an emotional player on and off the court, Odom was never better than during the Lakers title run in the late 2000s. It speaks a lot of the Lakers franchise to keep tabs on the former Laker, despite the not-so-cordial end to his tenure in the purple and gold.

Lakers Nation wishes you the best, L.O.
