Tracy McGrady sends slight jab to Lakers

Tracy McGrady was considered one of Kobe Bryant’s biggest rivals during his prime in the mid-2000s. At his peak, McGrady carried some mediocre Orlando Magic squads to the playoffs thanks to his high volume scoring. Even earlier this summer, McGrady and Bryant exchanged compliments about the difficulty of playing each other.

However, McGrady didn’t hold back when commenting on the Lakers this time. While watching last night’s victory over the Jazz, McGrady tweeted this:

McGrady was likely commenting on the poor effort by the starters last night, who shot 13 for 46 and scored just 34 points, being entirely outplayed by the bench that poured in 74 points. Still, it’s surprising to see a former player so candid about current players that he played with and against.
