First of all, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Conor. I am originally from San Diego, though now I am a junior at Boston University. I have been a Lakers fan my entire life, so about the time Kobe and Shaq came to town. I remember running around elementary school with SHAQ sneaker as big as my head because I thought they would make me better. Did they? No. But they made me feel better, an effect of the Lakers yet to wear off.

After having so much fun writing about the Chargers on BoltBeat, I am excited to start writing about the Lakers. I am very into interactive pieces on Boltbeat and NFL Spin Zone, so whenever you guys have an NBA question, comment, or idea, hit me up in the comments or on twitter @kingofcahill and I will be glad to find an answer and submit a post.

Anyways, I know this is probably boring, so I’ll let you all get back to basketball. There’s only 2 on tap tonight (and I know its not the Lakers), but I feel like actually talking a little basketball, so here are my picks for the night:

New York Knicks vs Houston Rockets

Who honestly doesn’t still like a little Dwight Howard trash talk? Chandler’s out, Stoudemire can’t crack the bench rotation, but who cares? The Knicks are chippy and I say Howard has 5 and 5 before getting ejected in a 102-99 loss to NY.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Golden State Warriors

How could you not love what you see from Russell Westbrook mere months after he tore his ACL? Regardless, Golden State has the perimeter firepower to stop Westbrook in his tracks and score at will. It’s a home game for the Warriors also, so I’m giving the game to them, 113-109.

I’m excited to getting started with some Lakers talk tomorrow before we take on the Grizzlies. Lake Show for LIFE!
