After last night’s fight in Phoenix that will likely lead to at least one suspension, the Lakers have looked to their D-League affiliate for a replacement. According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, the Lakers will sign guard Manny Harris to a 10-day contract in wake of the likely suspension of Nick Young.

Harris has turned heads recently with his play, averaging 43 points on 60% shooting over the last three games. Harris’ call-up isn’t totally unexpected, as we here at Lake Show Life took a look just a few days ago at the possibility of signing Harris.

Harris will join the Lakers in Boston Friday, where he will likely be forced into playing time thanks to the short-handedness of the Lakers. Harris’ contract couldn’t have been signed at a better time, as the Lakers are beginning their annual Grammy trip. Harris will be eligible to play in the remaining six games of the East coast swing.
