The already short-handed Lakers got dealt an even smaller deck on Thursday as Nick Young was handed his punishment following his scuffle in Phoenix. Swaggy P will officially be suspended one game for the Lakers, which will be Friday’s game in Boston.
Young was involved in a fight with the Phoenix Suns during Wednesday’s game. After a hard foul by Alex Len, Young took exception, resulting in him shoving Len and already smacking Goran Dragic in the head. The latter is likely the reason for his suspension, although not confirmed.
The Lakers called up Manny Harris from the D-League, likely in anticipation of this suspension.
