Lakers send Steve Blake to Golden State

UPDATE: It looks like the Lakers will be receiving Kent Bazemore and Marshon Brooks in return for Blake. Both have contracts expiring this summer, maintaining flexibility heading into free agency.

The Lakers were thought to be active sellers this trade deadline, and they’ve gotten that underway as of Wednesday night. With a plethora of point guards (when healthy), the Lakers had many expendable players at that position, and Steve Blake was the first to be dealt.

Blake was seen in the locker room prior to the game against the Houston Rockets saying his goodbyes to coaches and players before exiting in street clothes from the stadium.

Terms of the deal are not fully known yet, but will be published when made available.

These Lakers need to get rid of their coach and get someone who knows basketball. They gave Blake away for nothing two scrubs they could have got from the D league and now going to give away Jordan Hill because coach doesnt like him. Then Kamen because coach doesnt like him. They bring back Williams after cutting him and coach starts him geez Sacre wouldnt make any other team in the league and same thing for the rookie Paus son. I liked Blake and should have held out for Harrison, he isnt needed on the Warriors and they wont be able to pay him and he could be a beast but they want nothing. Get rid of Dantoni and make Kobe player coach.
