The Lakers have an incredibly unique opportunity this summer with a chance to essentially handpick a head coach from a list of grade A candidates, then pair a top prospect and free agent to fit his profile. There’s a lot of ways the Lakers can go, and with a roster overhaul imminent and a top prospect to build around.

With a trio of newcomers likely, which group would be most intriguing? Would the Lakers go defensive? Would they commit to a similar offense as D’Antoni with a better coach and better plays? Or would they add a mixture of offense and defense? With Mitch Kupchak at the helm, it’s certain there will be no leaks of who they’re truly targeting, but it’s certainly fun to speculate.
