Jimmy Kimmel pranks Metta World Peace

Metta World Peace wasn’t a Laker for long, but certainly etched his name in history if not just for his Game 7 performance in the NBA Finals. As one of the best personalities not only in Lakers history, but NBA history, MWP is one of the most entertaining people in the world.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Metta was the victim of a prank with the help of New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire.

Credit to Metta World Peace, who was a good sport after finding out that it was all a prank. Amare and MWP’s friendship dates back even prior to them being teammates last year.

Metta’s career in LA will most be remembered for his first season, where he helped lead the Lakers to an epic victory over the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals. Despite being relatively short-lived, MWP will always have a place in Lakers’ fans hearts, thanks to all the bicep kisses and hilarious one-liners.
