1. 76ers trade Michael Carter Williams and Thaddeus Young for #7 pick and Steve Nash

One of the more recent and more publicized traded rumors, the Lakers could make a big-time blockbuster deal. Not only would they move Steve Nash for a more serviceable player (albeit at the same price), but they’d bring in last season’s rookie of the year. In the big scheme, it doesn’t get better than adding a rookie of the year, still on a cheap contract, the summer after his rookie season.

However, this trade involves moving the 7th pick in the draft, where they could likely get a player as good or better than MCW. While Young is a solid player, he does have a player option for the 2015-16 season that could seriously hinder the Lakers spending in the free agency window. It’s a risky trade, but it provides multiple players who could contribute immediately as opposed to an unproven rookie and Nash, who can hardly play at all.
