Game Grades: Los Angeles Lakers Outclassed By Spurs

MVP: The Spurs. All of them. Seriously, they really dominated the Lakers in all facets. It’s not like we didn’t expect this coming in, but man the Spurs are a well-oiled machine and tonight, they beat the Lakers in just about every way possible.

LVP: Kobe Bryant. While it’s turned out that Bryant had essentially flu-like symptoms, his 1-14 performance is arguably the worst of his career. At his age, no one is playing through a flu. Not even Michael Jordan.

Stat of the Night: 28-17. That is the assist different between the two sides. The Spurs had 28 assists on 33 made field goals (84%) while the Lakers had just 17 assists on 28 made field goals (60%). That pretty much sums up the two teams perfectly. The Lakers resort to iso-ball too much while the Spurs work for the best shot possible as a team.
