Lakers News: Nick Young Out Tonight Against Jazz

After beating the Celtics at home in overtime, the Lakers now head to Utah to take on the Jazz. Utah has a young, but talented roster, which features Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gobert. Can the Lakers make it two in a row?

Well, the Lakers are going to have to beat the Jazz without one of their best players. The official twitter feed of the Lakers announced that Nick Young will not play tonight against the Jazz.
Young is dealing with soreness and swelling, according to his head coach Byron Scott:
Nick Young is out tonight against the Jazz according to Byron Scott: "Still a little sore, so he won't go tonight. Still a little swelling."

Young’s scoring will be missed. He averages 13.4 points per game and the Lakers will need to look elsewhere to make up for those points. When he’s on the floor, Young is able to space the floor out because he requires attention at all times.
Young is dealing with soreness and swelling, so he should be able to play soon, but it’s important to monitor his knee. The Lakers have nothing to play for the rest of the way, so Young must take care of his body for next season.
Those who want the Lakers to lose as much as possible are thrilled that Young won’t play tonight. It gives the Jazz a clear advantage and the Lakers’ odds of beating them just dwindled.
