What did we learn from Jordan? He told us what fueled him throughout his career and most didn’t like it, but he was just being honest. Kobe Bryant is very similar. After perfecting your craft and working tirelessly, you need something to fuel you on a daily basis.

As we reach the end of Bryant’s career, he has become much more vocal about his feelings and emotions. In Showtime’s Kobe Bryant’s Muse, he admits that he is fueled by becoming one of the greatest players of all time:

After so many years in the NBA and five NBA Championships, Bryant has accomplished everything you could imagine in the sport. He has all the awards and records, but if you ask him, he still needs a couple more titles. Bryant is a student of the game and no one was going to out work him during his time in the NBA.

Bryant has accomplished his goal, he is one of the greatest of all time and he will have at least one more season to add to his legacy. What can we expect from him? After so many injuries derailed his last few seasons, Bryant wants to leave the game on his own two feet. That’s fueling him now and it will only add to his greatness.
