Once the season is officially over, teams and players can start looking towards next season, but for one particular Laker, he is not waiting for the season to be over.

Jordan Clarkson is back in El Segundo and he’s already putting in the work for next season. Clarkson posted this on his official Instagram account:

Clarkson was an unexpected surprise this past season, but one of the few positive things the Lakers can be proud of. The Lakers didn’t have a pick in the second round last year, but they bought the rights to the number 46 pick in the draft, which they used on Clarkson.

With the Lakers’ luck on the past draft picks, many wrote Clarkson off and assumed he would become another bench player. Clarkson proved those fans wrong as he turned out to be one of the best rookies in the league.

Look back, the Lakers only spent $1.8 million on the Wizards’ pick. You can’t purchase work ethic but it surely is looking like a bargain as Clarkson is already preparing to avoid the Sophomore year slump.
