Lakers Rumors: Team Makes Contact With Rajon Rondo

You know what’s been nice? I mean, it’s literally the only positive up until this point. The Lakers haven’t been tied to Rajon Rondo since having drafted D’Angelo Russell.

Well, this is why we can’t have nice things:

Welp. The welpiest of all welps. WEEEEEEELLLLLPPP.

The Lakers are set at basically one and only one position: Point Guard. You know where Rajon Rondo plays? Yeah. Point Guard.

The Lakers can’t afford to have a veteran step in and mess up any chemistry the young guys might develop. You know what the biggest knock on Rondo has been since almost day one in his career? He’s not exactly Ghandi as a teammate.

And yet, with those two ridiculously giant issues, here are the Lakers making a call to that Rondo guy.

Now, Shelburne does mention that it was only a call, but as free agent targets dropped all around them, that the Lakers would call someone who makes less than no sense speaks to how rudderless they’ve been this week. I highly doubt anything actually comes out of it, but with time being limited, the Lakers using any of it to make this call is well…

Welp.
