On Sunday night, the Lakers wore their Sunday whites, beating the Detroit Pistons 97-85, for their first home, and second overall, win of the season.

After returning home from a five-game road trip, the Los Angeles Lakers made the most of their opportunity against the Detroit Pistons. Despite being five point underdogs, the boys in Purple and Gold would not be denied their second victory of the season.

Monday night, the Lakers take on the Phoenix Suns in the second game of their second back-to-back of the short season. After playing 36 minutes, finishing an astounding +14, Kobe Bryant will sit out for the third time in 11 games.

This is good news for fans, as Bryant revealed that he wanted to play all 82 games this season. The fact that Byron Scott is finally being able to tell Kobe “No,” is also a positive sign for the team and fans alike.

The Suns enter the matchup 5-4 and look to protect their homecourt in Phoenix. D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson will have another interesting night, as Phoenix possesses a guard duo of Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, who are in the top-five of scoring backcourts.

Here’s everything you need to know about Monday’s afternoon game.
