Larry Nance Jr. took flight to dunk over John Henson for the Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Larry Nance Jr. has shown off his impressive hops and athleticism on a number of occasions since being drafted late in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft. However, fans hadn’t seen much of it in the regular season.

Ever since Nance was inserted into the starting lineup not long ago, though, it seemed like only a matter of time before the rookie was going to put someone on a poster. Milwaukee Bucks center John Henson ultimately became that someone on Tuesday night.
With the Lakers already rolling in the third quarter against the Bucks, Lou Williams hit the rookie with a fantastic pass. Nance then took flight to throw down a monstrous one-handed jam over the lengthy Bucks center:

Since when did they start allowing players to wear jet packs during games?

He certainly has a long way to go in terms of becoming an all-around quality basketball player at the NBA level, but Nance’s athleticism and physical tools are 100 percent undeniable at this point. He can take off and seemingly never come down when he’s attacking the rim.

Thankfully, Nance finally found his first victim of a thunderous jam. If I had to guess, I’d say Henson won’t be the last, either.
