Kobe Bryant put on a vintage performance on Tuesday night to lift the Lakers over the Timberwolves

The Los Angeles Lakers took a 10-game losing streak into their matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, a dubious streak tying a franchise record for losing streaks. However, Kobe Bryant got in the time machine inside STAPLES Center on Tuesday night and delivered a vintage performance for the ages.

Despite the fact that the Lakers blew a double-digit lead that they took into halftime, it was Kobe Bryant’s heroics in the second half that ultimately saved the Lakers. He got hot from long range (and essentially everywhere on the court) and carried his team to victory like fans have seen him do countless times before.

Kobe finished with 38 points on 10-21 shooting from the field and a masterful 7-11 shooting performance from three-point range. For good measure, Bryant also added five rebounds and five assists, looking far from a player in his 20th season and looking more like the Kobe Bryant that has carried this Lakers franchise to numerous titles.

What was so vintage about the performance, though, is that it wasn’t just Kobe hitting open shots, but rather him knocking down impossible looks after taking those shots with full confidence. While that’s been frustrating to see him do throughout this season, it’s what made him great throughout his career and he was able to do it at least one more time in his final season on Tuesday night against the Timberwolves.

These were the best Kobe Bryant moments on Tuesday night as the Lakers topped Minnesota:

"Kobe all day"

Perhaps D’Angelo Russell described it best after the game when asked about Kobe:

Amen, D-Lo. Let’s cherish these moments from Kobe Bryant, because there may not be many more like this left—if any more at all.
