Nick Young and Iggy Azalea wanted to take a Valentine’s Day picture together, but the rapper’s hair caught fire instead

There’s no denying the fact that Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Nick Young is one of the most eccentric personalities on the roster. Both on and off the court, the man known as Swaggy P has always been wildly entertaining—even if it can be a bit frustrating when the team is 11-44.

Apparently Young has become so entertaining off of the court, though, that he’s even providing comedy in moments that shouldn’t be funny and in moments that he wasn’t even trying to be. One of those moments happened on Valentine’s Day with his fiancé, rapper Iggy Azalea.

Young simply just wanted to take a picture with Azalea for the “holiday” to show how in love they are or whatever, but that plan went awry when the selfie-taking commenced. Apparently the future Mrs. P’s hair fell over top of a candle and actually caught on fire:

It’s honestly terribly unfortunate that there isn’t a picture resulting from this. Wouldn’t it be classic to have this moment captured at the perfect moment before Azalea’s hair went up in flames? The answer is unequivocally yes.

In all seriousness, thankfully the future wife of a Lakers player in Azalea is fine after the incident, or at least assumedly so considering that Young is joking about it on Twitter.

Remember Lakers fans (and, well, everybody else too), don’t take selfies over open flames—it almost always ends poorly.
