Sunday marks the final time the Kobe Bryant led Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the Boston Celtics

Kobe Bryant has had his fair share of rivals throughout his 20 year career. From individual match ups against defenders the likes of Raja Bell and Shane Battier, to team rivalries with the Sacramento Kings or the Phoenix Suns.

However, none have been more heated than his rivalry with the Boston Celtics, which just so happened to combine both aspects. Lakers versus Celtics, Kobe Bryant versus Paul Pierce, Purple and Gold versus green.

For years the Lakers-Celtics rivalry was heavily one-sided, and to be fair, it still is, but LA fans can take solace in knowing that Kobe Bryant led the Purple and Gold to get the last laugh for the time being.

With that in mind, seeing how Kobe Bryant will take on the boys in green for the final time Sunday night at STAPLES Center, it is only right that we relive some of his greatest moments against Boston.

Kobe may have struggled in Game 7 of the 2010 Playoffs, but his play throughout the series pushed the Lakers to their second straight title along with another Finals MVP trophy.

Despite being bitter rivals, the love that the Boston fans showed Kobe in his final game at TD Garden, with fans even chanting “KOBE” at some points during the game, was amazing.

With seven games remaining against the likes of Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and James Harden to name a few, there are sure to be a few more great Mamba moments to finish off his amazing career, so be sure to tune in to witness every last ounce of Kobe you can get.

While it is a shame that the Lakers couldn’t send him off with one last playoff run, despite their drama, hopefully the franchise will be able to figure it out without the man who has been the face of their franchise for the past 15 plus years.
