Five players who could potentially be something like Kobe Bryant for the future of their team and the NBA

There is never going to be another Kobe Bryant.

It’s a simple fact that everyone should go ahead and face right now. Though there will be many players who are compared to him over the years to come just as there have been many players compared to the likes of Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon over the years, there’s a uniqueness of Kobe Bryant that simply can’t be replicated.

However, a figure in the NBA as influential as Kobe Bryant is going to have traces of himself scattered throughout the league for many years to come. Because of his influence on the younger generation of players in the NBA and because of the traits that it takes for a player to be great in this league, there are still going to be players who share traits similar to Kobe Bryant.

Again, no player is likely ever going to be the total package that Bryant was of a once-in-a-lifetime combination of talent, situation, and maniacal competitiveness. However, there are going to be players who operate similarly in certain regards.

On the day of Kobe Bryant’s final game in the NBA, this is a look at five players who could fit the bill in that regard. These are the five players who could be the next Kobe—or at least carry on a part of his legacy for the future.
