Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is out here still enjoying his retirement, now in Italy driving a Ferrari on a race track

With Kobe Bryant finally hanging up No. 24 for the Los Angeles Lakers after the 2015-16 NBA season, the big question was what the next chapter was for The Black Mamba. Granted, we already knew a few things that Kobe would be up to.

Obviously Bryant would stay in the gym to remain in shape and even get up shots as well. In addition, he’s always going to be a global ambassador for the Lakers, the NBA, and the game of basketball. On top of all of that, Kobe also announced his desire to partake in “storytelling” in his post-career life.

However, one thing that was apparently on his bucket list going into retirement after his illustrious career with the Lakers was a lot like the primal desire of Ricky Bobby: Kobe wanted to go fast.

On Wednesday, Kobe posted a video to Instagram of the former superstar driving a Ferrari in Maranello, Italy around a race track in the town:

That’s definitely one thing that you can choose to do in retired life. Then again, you can choose to do just about whatever you want in retirement if your name is Kobe Bryant.

As we saw recently, Bryant has been in Italy with Nike Basketball promoting the brand and the game of basketball as part of one of their worldwide outreach initiatives. Apparently being near Ferraris and race tracks was too much for Kobe at that point and he had to take some horsepower out to the track.

No doubt that it’s going to be sad and odd to watch the Lakers take the floor without Kobe Bryant next season with the Lakers. However, let’s hope that he continues to keep fans updated on his life after the Purple and Gold—or at least as much as he can shed those colors as he enjoys his post-retirement adventures.
