The Los Angeles Lakers had a strong 2017 NBA Draft, but not every team was as fortunate. Here are the five biggest losers from draft night.

Last night was exciting for the Los Angeles Lakers and the rest if the teams in the NBA. With the 2017 NBA draft now in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look at some of the teams that mostly disappointed.

Whether a team made a move that left you scratching your head or a move that wasn’t made that should have been, there were teams that flat out didn’t get it done last evening in Brooklyn.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls started the night off with a blockbuster deal. The Timberwolves acquired Jimmy Butler and the 16th pick. In return, the Bulls received Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, and the 7th overall pick, which turned out to be Lauri Markkanen from Arizona. The Chicago Bulls traded away their best player in Jimmy Butler and began their long-awaited rebuilding process.

Another disappointment was the Indiana Pacers throwing away their best chance of getting the most assets in return for forward, Paul George. Both of these decisions, respectively, were among the two biggest let downs of the night.

They were not the only teams that struggled on draft night. Check our my list of the five teams that were the biggest losers of the 2017 NBA Draft. You will notice a theme among the teams, as all five have one thing in common: trades that they did or didn’t make on draft night that could have significantly improved their rosters.
